More about SMS by Email
You can send text messages to any mobile phone in Australia or overseas from your PC. Standard text messages are 160 characters but if your message is longer, we can accommodate 1,440 characters broken into 9 messages. You can also receive responses to your messages straight back to the email address from which you sent the original. It’s that easy.

When you send a message, the service converts your email message to a sms and sends it to the mobile phone number you have specified. A delivery report is then emailed to you on successful delivery of the message. More information on how to use the sms service can be found here.

Responses to your sms messages are received directly into your inbox and can be filed, printed or deleted. You can now keep proper records of the messages you send and receive. In addition, if the person you are sending the sms to is in your contact list, their name will appear in the received column.

Sending SMS in Australia

For messages sent within Australia we have a standard retail rate of 14 cents per message (inclusive of GST!). This is cheaper than a standard mobile phone plan which may charge in excess of 20c per text message sent. Each sms message can contain up to 160 characters. We understand the importance of getting the message across and as such if you send an Email to sms message that is longer than 160 characters then we will send multiple sms messages for your single email message up to a length of 1440 characters (9 sms messages)..

Sending SMS Internationally

Most locations in the world use only one credit and hence cost 14 cents per message. For some international locations a single sms may cost more than one credit. Please refer to the lists below to determine how many credits a single sms message will cost.

There is no cost for subscription. All the credit you buy is added to your account as credit for you to use for sending and receiving fax and sms communication, similar to a prepaid mobile phone.

In addition, just like a prepaid mobile phone, you can top up your account at any time and extend the duration of your number (up to a maximum of 2 years in advance). It is that easy.

Business User Options

If you are a business user with reasonable message volumes, you may prefer a post paid account based solution. Our payment terms are 30 days and all such plans are billed on a monthly basis with invoices delivered electronically to the account contact person.

There is a charge of $7.50 per month per number (includes 100 pages received) and any additional usage is charged for at the standard rates
